Empowerment:
Engaging in artistic processes that celebrate cultural identities, and promote marginalized communities is a key component of my practice.
I have completed a series of 12 murals for the Purpose Built School Systems of Atlanta - all of which showcase Black excellence and
foster awareness and understanding about the contributions of Black figures throughout history.
By celebrating Black excellence through art, we not only honor the past and present but also inspire a future that recognizes and uplifts the remarkable contributions of the Black community.
GLOBAL COMMUNITY:
Bringing art to remote villages cultivates community bonds, inspires creativity, and encourages residents to express their stories and experiences through visual art forms. Community murals beautify the community while providing a sense of pride and ownership.
Working with ConservationFusion.org, I installed the very first community mural in Lavavolo, Madagascar on the side of the village's Dream School!
In March of 2025, I will be returning to Madagascar to work with another village on their first community mural installation.
